PastelKoala

I'm PastelKoala, or just PK! I'm an artist from Australia, working primarily in the digital medium. I have also taken up an interest in traditional mediums such as alcohol markers.

 

I started my digital art journey back in 2009, influenced by the many anime and manga I enjoyed watching and reading; such as Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura and the like. I started off with a small cheap no-name brand tablet with various free programs and eventually worked my way up to what I use currently - a XP-Pen LCD tablet and now mostly working in Clip Studio Paint.

 

Art has always been a big passion of mine since I was a very little child! I often use my art as an outlet, a sort of therapy, and a way to voice my thoughts and emotions in a safe manner. I always encourage people to try this, as art therapy is extremely beneficial to both mental and emotional health. And you can never go wrong, whatever you do - its art.

My passion became a way of earning when I discovered that I absolutely loved helping people see their characters and designs drawn and imagined how they hoped.
